עורכת ראשית של כתב העת ״בית מקרא: כתב העת לחקר המקרא ועולמו״, וחברת ההנהלה של ה Society for Biblical Literature-(הארגון המקצועי הגדול של חוקרי המקרא בעולם).

מאז 2020, היוזמת והמנהלת של ״תופסי האורית״ בחוג למקרא, תוכנית לימודים לתארים מתקדמים ותוכנית מחקר של כתבי הקודש האתיופיים של ביתא ישראל. מחקרה ״אורית-שמות בכתבי יד ובמסורות בעל פה של ביתא ישראל״ ממומן במענק אישי של הקרן הלאומית למדע (2024—2027). 
 

״תופסי האורית״ מכשירה סטודנטים.ות מקהילת ביתא ישראל (וגם אחרים) להפוך להיות מומחים במחקר האורית (חמשת חומשי תורה, יהושע, שופטים ורות) וכתבי קודש אחרים. מושם דגש על מחקר הנוסח והמסירה של כתבי יד ועל מסורות התרגום והפרשנות ע״פ של האורית לאורך הדורות. הסטודנטים לומדים געז ואמהרית וכן שיטות בעבודת שדה אנתרופולוגית, ומקיימים ראיונות עם הקסים הבכירים ביותר שהוכשרו עוד באתיופיה, לתיעוד ולשימור מסורות בעל פה השמורות עמהם.
